Detect Named a 2026 GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Honoree
The statewide program recognizes Florida's high-growth, second-stage companies. Detect was selected from nearly 500 nominations and 94 finalists.
MIAMI, FL - October 13, 2026 - Detect has been named an honoree of the 16th Annual GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Awards, presented by title sponsors Nperspective CFO & Strategic Services and Holland & Knight. The statewide program recognizes established second-stage companies with 6 to 150 employees and $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue.
Detect was named a finalist in August, one of 94 companies to advance from nearly 500 nominations. Honorees were then selected on growth, leadership, innovation, company culture, community impact and potential for continued success.
Why was Detect named an honoree?
Since its founding in 2024, Detect has completed more than 30 projects for large power companies, rural electric cooperatives, and city-owned utilities across the United States and Canada. The company was selected from 172 applicants for NextEra Energy's 35 Mules innovation hub, earned SOC 2 Type II certification, and offers a free 90-day certification that trains drone crews to capture inspection photos utilities can act on.
Detect also funds and sponsors Young Coders Impact Miami, a youth hackathon where students build technology for local challenges. It also partners with local colleges to bring interns into working inspection programs, and each new contract funds data and engineering jobs at its Miami headquarters.
"Florida's grid faces the hardest test in the country every hurricane season, and we built Detect in Miami to help it pass. Our AI screens millions of inspection photos, and a human expert signs every finding, so utilities can fix problems while they are still cheap to fix. This recognition belongs to the team that puts its name on that work."
Matthew Sattler, CEO, Detect
Who are this year's honorees?
According to GrowFL, this year's honorees together generate more than $727 million in annual revenue and employ more than 2,700 people across Florida. From 2022 to 2025 they averaged 36.5% annual revenue growth and 28% annual employment growth.
"Being named a GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch honoree is a significant achievement," said Sean Flannery, Chair of the GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Awards Program and SVP, Commercial Banking Manager, Synovus + Pinnacle Financial Partners. "These companies distinguished themselves among nearly 500 nominations and a highly competitive group of finalists."
What happens next?
Honorees will be recognized at the 16th Annual GrowFL CEO Summit & Awards Gala, February 24-26, 2027, at Universal Orlando Resort. The gala takes place on the evening of February 26.
